1986 a decades ago the people of puntlandes somalis took a peace for ever,
at the era of president SAID BARRE the puntlandes were in somali west (OGADEN ) waging war against the somali centeral government for a better change,all somalis were united and fighting for the central somali government against the puntlandes somalis,
the puntlandes somalis were tormented,killed,raped,even water wells were poisoned but SSDF the arm wing of the puntlandes somalis shook all somalia,and cuptured mostly the region of puntland somalia,
the trouble started when the front line reached a two small villages called GOLDOGOB and BALLAN BALE,as usaul every village and town that ssdf captured and somali flag and the flag of ssdf were raised the real motive of ethopia shined,the ethopia goverment who was helping the puntlandes came with another mind and tried to raise the ethopian flag,but ssdf raised the bule somali flag foreverthe two villages and war broke out between ethopia and the arm wing of the puntlands somalis ssdf,
ethopia pulled back and stopped helping ssdf,ethopia arrested the leader of the ssdf abdulahi yusuf,
ssdf found itself fighting still with somali central government backed by all somalis who were not that moment seeking any change for themselves nor for somalia,
the somali president SAID BARE called for peace and envited the leaders of SSDF and all the elders of somali puntlandes and WE ACCEPTED,
the meeting took place in villa somalia,the welcoming part was held in HODON DISTRICT IN MOGADISHU,
the puntlanedes somalis were given back thier posts in somali central goverment,and also they were asked never again to fight against the somali goverment NOR REVENGE ANY OTHER TRIBE,and too seek the somali comman cause for prosperity and unity,AND WE ACCEPTED,ssdf came back to puntland somalia as part of the peace deal,ssdf became part of the somali arm in puntland region of somalia and the war was over,
things changed when some other somali tribes who were sleeping while others were seeking change started fighting for so called a change.
the puntlander somalis found themselves in new situation and mostly stayed neutral excapt helping THE SOMALI PRESIDENT to safety who was cornered in his mogadishu compound ,villa somalia,the puntlanders somalis proudly brought the somali president out of mogadishu to ERASE DESGRACE,
the other tribes saw the puntlanders somalis as enemy forgeting when they were siding with same goverment and waging war in puntland for the same goverment.
in mogadishu 1990 only one tribe was sorted out for killing,robbing and raping,
time passed but the somali puntlanders sticked still to promise that they made for other somalis in general for keeping the peace and seeking great somalia.as end road and aim to chase.
president said barre was overthrown,mogadsihu became wild city well known in whole world,america came and left,ethopia came and left as well,but somali's hell gate is opened when the alshabaab came to the picture and swallowed everything.
the leaders and elders of puntland started self administaring puntland and at last stabilishing THE GOVERNMENT OF PUNTLAND SOMALIA.
the puntlander somalis did not seek breaking away from somalia because of deep nationalism but became role model for the all somalis and brought back the first order of the recognized somali govenment back to somalia,and united all somali tribes.we can truely say puntland is the real mama of somalia.
time and wind of change sweeps every nation once awhile somalia faced new war and new cause,tribalism war was over, rebeling war was over,but today we are in a new face of war which is extrimism,jihadism,which worse than what somalia went trough.
puntland tamed any puntlander who ever thought of being a extrimist,eccept few in the hills who are living like nomads hiding themselves in a hunted situation
but puntland faced a REAL PROBLEM from alshabaab who is coming from the southern regions of somalia,passing through and even staying in galmudug.
puntland is ailing and suffering by the weakness of the galmudug state which is save heaven for alshabaab which stiuates next to puntland state,
alshabaab used galmudug as a base to wage war to puntland,plus that galmudug is still sticking to tribelism and keeping the old style of somali tribe war.
puntland is also being troubled and facing war in the northern end by somaliland who is seeking expansion and chassing the mad dream of becoming a country which is not posssible.
somali federal government is also inbeded with tribalism,ignoring galmudug being moulded with alshabaab and both consecatively attacking puntland,somali federal goverment is lacking a real president and real parliament.the dreamed somali goevrment.
today puntland is in between two fronts,alshabaab in the south mingling with galmudug and somaliland at the north secretly supporting and financing alshabaab.while puntland stands strong and its peoples united for somali comman cause PEACE,UNITY, AND PROSPERITY.
unluckily somalia stepped on ONCE AGAIN A NEW WAR if the somali people don't open their eyes and unite and put aside the coming back of the somali tribalism when alshabaab is the bigger picture to ERADICATE so as to have a REAL PEACE IN SOMALIA.
